Angry Army Ants Ambush Alabama

The story begins when Scooter and his dog, Bo, go out in the woods to climb a tree. Then the branch snaps and Scooter is sent flying to the ground. Fortunately, he grabs another branch but destroys an ant colony.

While Scooter McGillan's parents are out, him and his friend Connor go exploring out in the woods to try to find snapping turtles at the swamp. They come across a LARGE ant in the distant climbing a tree. Freaky.

Then the HUGE hole in earth has an ant coming out of it. The ant is wearing a beret and it stares at them for a while. Then it drops down on all six legs and crawls at them. The kids run over to the swamp and into chest level water. The ant doesn't get in the water because ants don't swim. He scurries off.

Then there's more trouble.

On the other side of the swamp, an enormous water moccasin gets into the water which is one of the most venomous snakes in Alabama. Scooter and Connor freak out and rush out of the water.
